How to override default door swing angle in AutoCAD Architecture

How to override default door swing angle in AutoCAD Architecture

Issue:

The door swing angle remains fixed at the default angle, even after you change the angle in the Properties palette. You want to override the default door swing angle for a given door style in AutoCAD Architecture.
  • The door swing may display correctly in one display representation, but may display incorrectly in another.

Causes:

The door swing can be adjusted using a Display Representation override.

Solution:

To disable the "Override Swing Angle" setting in the "Plan" Display Representation in AutoCAD Architecture:
  1. Select the door and right-click.
  2. Select "Edit Door Style..." from the menu.
  3. Under the Display Properties tab, select the "Plan" Display Representation.
  4. Click the Edit Display Properties icon (upper right) to see the setting overrides.
  5. Under the Other tab, remove the checkmark from the "Override Swing Angle" setting (bottom).
  6. Select OK, then OK again.
  7. Select the door again.
  8. From the Properties palette, change the swing angle to the desired angle.
If the same angle is always needed for a particular door style:
  1. Select the door and right-click.
  2. Select "Edit Door Style..." from the menu.
  3. Under the Display Properties tab, select the "Plan" Display Representation.
  4. Click the Edit Display Properties icon (upper right) to see the setting overrides.
  5. Under the Other tab, keep the "Override Swing Angle" setting checked (bottom).
  6. Adjust the fixed angle to the desired angle for all doors within the door style.
  7. Select OK, then OK again.
