FMG-PLUS SAREACOMP

Does FMG have some type of tolerance or threshold where it does not report a room change if the area difference is below a certain value (for example, less than 1 square foot)?

Yes when you run SAREACOMP it uses a “fuzz factor” (tolerance/threshold) when comparing the area of the polyline to the area stored in Planon.  You can change the AREAFUZZ each time you run SAREACOMP, in the dialog box where I highlighted it below.

I’m not sure what to tell you to set it to because I do not know the precision Planon is using in the CAD Import comparison that it does.  Maybe 0.01, based on the screen shots you sent.  But I could also imagine that 0.02 might work better.  I suggest that you experiment with it.

Once you know the optimal setting, to avoid changing EVERY time you run the command, the default you see is coming from the AREAFUZZ setting in your CFG file, which you can edit in Notepad.  I think it is line 70 in your CFG.
